About Us
The Spectrum organisation has been supplying Security Officers to all areas of Industry, Commerce and Local Government for some ten years, and with the experience gained in our particular service sector, the management and operational staff have over five decades accumulation of knowledge between them.
The Company prides itself on providing the resources and flexibility of a national company, but the commitment and hands-on approach typified by a small local company. Examples of this would be the Company’s involvement in local training and employment initiatives, as well as partnering arrangements with Police Authorities and Housing Associations.
As a result of this, we at Spectrum consider that we can truly offer a “one-stop shop” in respect of all aspects of security; whether a client’s need is for a Security Officer to patrol their premises out of business hours, to monitor or respond to an alarm system, or to hold keys to premises, we can comply.
Our Officers and ancillary staff are trained to the highest industry standard, vetted exhaustively, smartly uniformed, and encouraged to use initiative; we believe the statement “Commitment to excellence” to be more than simply hot air, and our Officers to be the true ambassadors of our Company.
As such, we think our client list reflects this. Examples include, in the construction industry, Bellway Homes, Miller Homes, Tarmac and JN Bentley, with whom we partner. From the commerce sector we include the Yorkshire Bank, British Home Stores, and Baker Tilly. We also run a number of Business Watch schemes in conjunction with Police Authorities who supply dedicated Officers to our schemes; such schemes are proven by the Police’ own statistics to significantly reduce crime by some 80%, not just in respect of individual businesses, but entire communities.
However, some 60% of our client base is comprised of small, often family or owner-managed local businesses, and, large or small, our dedication and attention to the specific requirements of our client remains paramount.
The real proof of our worth though does not rest solely within our client base, but in the length of time that we have been associated with many of our clients. This surely, above all other yardsticks, measures customer satisfaction; and customer satisfaction, coupled with our exceptionally low “churn rate” of staff makes us we hope to be both a first rate company to work for, and a reliable company to work with.
